About ICBC National Convention 2013
The impact of infrastructure on the economic growth of a country is immense, and therefore infrastructure planning has become one of the top most priorities of the Government. The purpose of the ICBC National Convention 2013 is to participate in the ongoing discussion process on infrastructure, to support plans for its development and to define a roadmap for Canadian participation in the infrastructure opportunities in the market. Also to identify gaps in implementation of relevant policies, as well as to share good practices and lessons learned in order to work towards a common understanding and develop guidelines to go forward. It will be a platform for Indian and Canadian Companies to talk about their expertise, what they can offer and what they require to be effective. The Convention aims to bring together Government, policy makers, regulatory authorities, infrastructure developers, construction companies, financial institutions and other stakeholders to deliberate and share their experiences in the infrastructure Sector.
Objective
National Convention 2013 aims to broadly cover the following topical themes in various business sessions:
- To provide a platform for business opportunities and collaborations in the existing and future infrastructure projects.
- To provide a platform for informative and interactive sessions with the prime movers of Infrastructure sector.
- To deliberate the sector’s growth- drivers and to contribute to the policy and regulatory framework.
The New Approach
The aim of the Convention is not only to provide a platform for discussion but to be a “Catalyst for Action” ICBC will be the catalyst to follow-through with the issues and potential solutions.
To ensure maximum value creation, ICBC will organize a round of one- on- one meetings with the Speakers, (on a pre registered basis), immediately following the Session. This will help provide immediate interaction and follow up opportunities.
